Our Chief Executive Officer - Wyn Chivers
As Chief Executive Officer of CHATS – Community & Home Assistance to Seniors, Wyn Chivers has the pleasure of working with over 750 staff and volunteers, supporting the health and well-being of seniors and caregivers in York Region and South Simcoe. Approximately 6000 seniors are assisted each year with in-home and community supports, prevention and wellness programs.
Previously, Wyn was Principal of Chivers and Associates, providing expertise for non-profit health and social service organizations in the areas of strategic planning, fundraising, organizational and community development.
Throughout her 25 years within the non-profit sector, Wyn provided leadership within national, regional and local non-profit health and social service organizations, serving as National Executive Director of Muscular Dystrophy Canada, Chief Executive Officer of United Way of York Region, and Assistant Campaign Director of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.
Within York Region, Wyn has participated as a founding member of the Human Services Planning Coalition, founding Chair of the Social Services Funding Task Group (now the Strong Communities Coalition), Co-Chair of CIVC 211, and champion of United Way of York Region’s LEAD project – Leading the Ethno-racial Access Dialogue.
She graduated from Carleton University with her Master of Social Work degree and also possesses a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Psychology. She resides in Richmond Hill with her husband and two children.
