Happy Norooz & First Day Of Spring
Happy Norooz & First Day Of Spring
Every year, on the first day of spring, Iranians around the world celebrate Norooz, also known as Iranian New Year. Every year prior to COVID, CHATS celebrated Norooz with all of the CHATS seniors and their caregivers, board members, volunteers and staff.
Norooz is an ancient Persian celebration and has been celebrated for over 2500 years, on the first day of Spring, otherwise known as Spring Equinox. This year, we are welcoming the year 2581.
The annual CHATS Norooz celebration will be returning in the future as soon as we feel it is safe enough to gather on that scale. We also wanted to thank our hard-working Iranian volunteers for helping us make the program possible.
On behalf of all the Iranian program clients and Volunteers at CHATS, we wanted to wish everyone a happy Norooz and first day of Spring.
