Support for Caregivers
Practice self-care so you can care for the ones you love.
You’re not alone in your caregiving journey. It’s okay to ask for help and to take a break.
CHATS’ Caregiver Support & Education Program supports caregivers through personal consultations and individual counselling, support groups, workshops, information, and referral services.
The program promotes caregivers’ health and well-being by enhancing caregivers’ coping capacity and helping to prevent burnout.
CHATS offers free Caregiver Support and Education services that are designed to meet the unique needs of those who are caring for a loved one. This includes personal consultations and support groups facilitated by our professional Caregiver Education Counsellors and workshops with regular guest speakers.

The support groups are wonderful. It’s a safe place for me to express my feelings and experiences, and I know everyone there understands because they’re going through it too. I learn a lot from their stories as well.
I was pretty much on the edge of a nervous breakdown. The stress of juggling ‘my’ life with caring for my dad had me close to hitting rock bottom with extreme anxiety. CHATS has shown me how to make life much more manageable and balanced, and for that, I’m truly grateful.
