CHATS Launches 12 Days of Holiday Giving
RICHMOND HILL, [Wednesday, December 13, 2023] — On Wednesday, December 13 CHATS – Community & Home Assistance to Seniors launches 12 Days of Holiday Giving, a campaign aimed at raising funds to provide programs and services for seniors in need.
The 12 Days of Holiday Giving initiative is a collaborative effort between Mayor West’s office and CHATS, an organization dedicated to providing supports to enable seniors to live in their own homes and communities. Recognizing the importance of coming together during the holiday season, Mayor West and this team of volunteers are giving their time to this seniors’ serving organization within the Richmond Hill community.
Each year, Hillcrest Mall transforms one of their stores into a gift-wrapping center. This year, CHATS was delighted to be selected as the charity to benefit from the present wrapping. Between December 13th and 24th Hillcrest Mall customers can bring their gifts to be wrapped, for a small donation that will go to support CHATS’ program and services.
On December 16th, CHATS invites shoppers to visit the wrapping centre, where Mayor West, his wife Michelle, and CHATS CEO Christina Bisanz will personally wrap gifts from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
“The holiday season is a time for giving, and what better way to celebrate than by coming together as a community to raise funds in support of seniors in our community, “says Mayor West. “CHATS’ 12 Days of Holiday Giving is an opportunity for us to make a positive impact on the lives of those who may be facing challenges during this festive season. I am grateful for the support of our community volunteers and the partnership with CHATS to make this initiative possible.”
