Powerful Tools for Caregivers Workshop: Building Confidence and Reducing Stress

Caring for a loved one is an act of love, but it also comes with challenges. The day-to-day responsibilities of caregiving can leave you feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or uncertain about how to handle difficult situations. That’s why CHATS – Community & Home Assistance to Seniors is offering the Powerful Tools for Caregivers Workshop, a free six-week program designed to give caregivers the skills, strategies, and confidence they need to thrive.
What You’ll Learn
Over the course of six weekly sessions (1.5 hours each), trained facilitators who are caregivers themselves will guide you through practical tools that support both your caregiving journey and your personal well-being.
Topics include:
- Building a personalized self-care “tool box”
- Identifying and reducing stress
- Communicating feelings, needs, and concerns
- Handling challenging conversations
- Learning from emotions such as anger, guilt, or depression
- Mastering caregiving decisions
Why Join?
Caregivers who have completed the program often describe it as transformative:
“After taking this class I am a more confident caregiver! Having tools to resolve problems is a definite advantage in becoming a happier, wiser, and healthier me… and a healthier us!”
By the end of the six weeks, you’ll have a stronger foundation to manage caregiving responsibilities with less stress and greater confidence.
