CHATS Launches 5050 Draw – for the Home at Heart
CHATS – Community & Home Assistance to Seniors has launched its first ever online 50/50 raffle in support of our Heart at Home Campaign supporting mental wellness for older adults in our community. After two years of seemingly never-ending lockdowns and restrictions, many people are feeling the impacts of social isolation and loneliness — especially older adults.
“The COVID pandemic has heightened, and escalated social isolation, but it also shone a light on it, that there’s a recognition that it’s been happening. We must not lose sight, and we must do something about it collectively as a community by supporting the Home at Heart!”
The CHATS – Young at Heart Campaign aims to help seniors in York Region and South Simcoe live their best at home and in their communities. The funds support services to seniors including Home Help, Respite Care, Assisted Living for High-Risk Seniors, Meals on Wheels, Transportation, Home Safety Services, Tenancy Risk Reduction Services (hoarding remediation), Wellness/Social Programs, Diversity Outreach Programs, Caregiver Support and Education, Hospital To Home Transition, and much more.
The winner of the 50/50 raffle will receive half of the jackpot while the other half will go towards the Home at Heart Campaign. Tickets are on sale now until Friday, April 29th 2022. Entries will be sold for $8, $18, $88, $188 with the number 8 in celebration our 8th Annual Whisky Tasting along with 8 years of support and kindness received from the Aurora Whisky Society. We would also like to thank our Community Partners Magna International for being our draw sponsor! Purchase tickets today www.chats5050.ca.
The final draw for the winner will be on Friday April 29th at 3pm.
