Service Overview

CHATS Transportation Program provides local and long-distance drives to medical appointments, Ontario Health ADPs, grocery shopping, personal errands, and social outings.

Drives are provided by a combination of paid drivers, volunteers, and partner agency drivers.

Driver assistance includes support in and out of the vehicle, with groceries, and some mobility equipment.

I was most dependent on CHATS while recuperating from my right knee replacement. When I retire, I hope to pay back by becoming a volunteer driver. CHATS is about the best thing that you could have because of the help and quality of care they give. When my husband is sick, I have to go to all the appointments with him – CHATS drives us both – freeing up my hands to get out of the car and wheel him straight into his appointment without having to worry about parking the car. It is like having a 3rd person to help out.
